More about Brooke
Brooke Prudhomme is a Certified Professional and Licensed Midwife (CPM, LM) with over 15 years of experience advancing equity, access, and compassionate care in women’s wellness and maternity services. As the founder of Ova Sanctum, Brooke leverages her deep midwifery expertise to integrate innovative care models that prioritize inclusivity and improve outcomes. Her mission is to transform women's healthcare through telehealth and hybrid models, fostering healthier communities and reducing costs.
Brooke’s professional journey began in Memphis, Tennessee, where her studies in art and humanities at the University of Memphis shaped her holistic approach to care. Inspired by the birth of her twin boys in 2000, she pursued midwifery through a six-year apprenticeship with the North American Registry of Midwives. She refined her skills at CHOICES: Memphis Center for Reproductive Health and has since practiced in Tennessee, Oregon, and Washington, blending clinical excellence with community-centered care.
Currently, Brooke serves as Executive Director of the Midwives Association of Washington State (MAWS) and as a Board Member for the National Association of Certified Professional Midwives (NACPM). Her leadership in education, advocacy, and clinical practice, alongside her commitment to equity and traditional midwifery preservation, underscores her transformative vision. With Ova Sanctum, Brooke is redefining women’s healthcare by merging her rich experience with forward-thinking solutions to create accessible and equitable care for all.
